The market will dictate that we never run out of corn unless we have a major multi year global problem. 2 billion bushel carryout is a huge number mentally for traders. Why would you want to get long right now corn? Dollar is rising, global expansion has and is occurring in production, and we are sitting on a record harvest. What would make you want to bet that corn stocks will become tight any time soon? In my opinion the logistic problems is not a positive, but a negative for ending stocks. If you can not ship an end product then there is less corn that will get used. If we can not get corn or beans or wheat to the PNW to ship then the business will go elsewhere.
