Subject: Taking the other side

Northwest Missouri
Sold some Nov 14 980 puts today that I had bought a few months ago. Was concerned time value would start eroding the gains. Instead of rolling them down or forward to the Jan, I just shorted Nov 15s in their place. Got to thinking about who was on the other side of my put trade and how normally when I sell options it works much more to my favor than when I buy them. Then got to thinking about taking the other side and selling the same 980 puts to hopefully gain the eroding time value that concerned me. Have sold calls many times - have never sold puts. Thinking about shorting a Nov 15 bean futures for every 2 Nov 14 puts. Consensus thoughts? Thanks in advance......
