In 2012/2013 corn was high/scarce enough that SRW was being used as feed so it was not a huge push for high protein wheat. Now it seems that the endusers that require high quality wheat for milling have a better basis. I only grow SRW, and one thing I notice is that endusers never ask about protein level. Just Test Weight.
