You're not even close to a 98/99 type hog experience yet.
Hog's were losing $50/hd in 98/99.
The equivalent loss on corn would be ~$5/bu LOSS. So unless it's costing you $8/bushel to grow corn you're not losing $5/bu yet.
When you can't get anyone to take your corn off of your hands for $1/bu then you're nearing a 98/99 hog event. If it does happen the govt will be there handing out money to the crop guys left and right while the 98/99 hog guys got the shaft.
Unless you owned hogs in 98/99 don't compare the two as they are not even close to the same.
At least we know this corn market will bottom out in about 60 days!
