I do understand a lot of what you are saying. But the cbot has turned into the stock market and don't really care about what they are trading. With the seasonal basis adjustments it's hard to believe the cbot really cares about supply and demand.
Lets take a look at the livestock futures, they are actually a follower of cash trades which is more of a supply and demand.
