I live in NE and the enviros did not convince me. There are a lot of Nebraskans who want the pipeline, but so much of what we do is controlled by the population centers like Omaha and Lincoln. And, unfortunately, it will only get worse as population moves toward the urban centers. We are stuck with a one-house legislature which is terrible for the balance of power because every time they redistrict to compensate for population the rural areas lose representation. Ironically, our Unicameral was pushed thru by a man from far out-state NE named George Norris. Huge mistake!!.. Thanks | |
