New Mexico | thru your honda as you make your loop ( then flip that Back and Over as you tip your wrist and lay that loop out behind ya ).
when you throw the rope forward then...everything flips back over to the front and catches the pail...or calf..or dog or chicken.
( when you can rope chickens...your gettin pretty dam good, btw. )
PULL your slack ( to tighten the loop over that chicken's neck...or pail or whatever ) with the same hand you throw with.
Dogs tend to get pretty smart..tend to go lay out if your messing with ropes and might have happened to rope the dog b 4.
But they come "right to" when you say "let's go find some cattle." LOL.
btw, roping wives can tend to backfire at times too.. just sayin.
