I really have no idea other than the fact that basis narrowed here .02 recently and that harvest basis is about the same as always, .33 under. Call the local managers and they are as slippery as ever. However, this area, "will not" see a record harvest and will be looking to source corn, in fact I would say we are "below average." Every year we have corn coming in from Sutherland to Dawson county, which really makes no sense to me whatsoever, that is one long haul. I guess I will be more concerned come February when I price my overage. Guys chopping corn last week were at 9 ton and after Saturday morning that number dropped substantially, just adding to the problems around here.
