SC Iowa
Not a lot.....yet.....

we had big September book, but that master plan got nixed when we had to step in and buy big chunks of old crop while we waited for the harvest to get rolling......so now we are sitting here 99% covered and fading hard......sometimes a plan works to perfection, some times it doesn't

for you home gamers, our corn bid on Monday was +30Z and tonight it is -12Z...

we are buying spot corn, but most is still old crop....yes, STILL.......but we did buy some balance of Sept corn today at -10Z coming out of the field, and sub 3.30 on a contract sure looks cheap after all we have been through....

I expect to get another text message from one of my farmer friends at 5:50 AM

"just thought you would like to know that the south parking lot has 8 rows of trucks in it"

no DP here....we want it all to have a basis on it

welcome to harvest!!
