Subject: RE: Winter wheat planting carrot?

East central South Dakota
The advantage you southern guys have is crop insurance. We plant our crop and have no coverage until may 15. Lost a ton of money not being able to confidently contract early this spring because of no insurance coverage. Contract and have winter kill and you're outta luck. Fortunately our governor plus pheasants forever said last week they're going to work to get eastern sd into crop insurance for winter wheat. Crazy to think that the pheasants might be able to get it done but years of pleading by the producer fall on deaf ears.
