Breckenridge, MI | As someone who has tried to use crates without slats I would suggest a pen with a creep area and a heat lamp. I suppose it would work better with sawdust in a crate rather than the straw like I did but it got messy in there fast. If you wanted to fab a crate together 2'x7' for the sow and 16" on either side for the pigs so your final dimensions are 5' wide x 7' long | |
