Near-north Ontario, French River | If the day ever comes when solar and wind are cheaper sources than fossil fuels the shift will happen almost overnight. I can imagine a near complete shift away from fossil fuels in a span of as little as 10 yrs. Do I believe than shift will happen by 2030? No but I could see it happening in our lifetime. We went from nuclear bombs to power plants in less than 25 yrs, the next great breakthrough could be tomorrow. Economics will determine how quickly the changes happen. |
