Iowa's "energy" against OSU and Michigan in the past ten years have given them a 5-10 record against those schools, 3 of which came against bad Michigan teams since 2010.
Not sure that's the point you were trying to make. .
Point is if you think a Iowa team is bring the same energy to play the best teams in the Big Ten rather than ISU your kidding your self. Happens all the time. Last game of the season last year Minnesota played at Michigan St. We played them tough real tough, but to think Michigan st played with the same energy against Gophs as when they played OSU in big ten champ game is just wrong. Just like ISU brought way better and more energy against Iowa than NDSU. Players go ISU to play big time games against Iowa not NDSu. Easy to sit here and say they should play the same every week. It just doesn't every happen. Like I said before 18-22 year olds. |
