NEIN | That is over simplified for sure . The DIRTIES add up quickly in bin ownership and all the peripheral equipment needed to handle grain in and out. Commercials storage is huge volume and lower unit costs and really if your grain processor is not out of line, you can usually rent storage for about what the real cost of ownership is on your own stuff. Not to say that carry and basis shouldn't be sold just saying merchandising grain is not the same as marketing it. | |
