Cant comment on the sound deadoning insulation, but will say anything is better than nothing.

There are also metal strips you can buy that run horizontally across your stud walls that flare out to attach your sheet rock to. You will loose about a half inch of room space by using them, but it keeps the sounds from traveling through the studs.

My only room in the house (man cave movie room) we used these and fiberglass insulation.... it works well.


You'll be glad you did something.
