Subject: Re: Tractor tires

Leesburg, Ohio
We have had poor service from Firestone tires, and NO service from Firestone Corp. Have been thru two sets of front MFWD tires on two tractors in short order. Both wore prematurely, and one of them blew the bead out in the pry slot. Goodyears on the rear are still 50% on original tires after two sets of Firestone fronts, and ready for a third set. Lost another Firestone during wheat harvest on the combine this summer (30.5x32), again because of failure of the bead in the pry slot. Company wouldn't even look at them. Last two combines came with Firestones, both out of round so bad you couldn't keep it on the road above 15 mph until we changed tires...then no problem. Still have worn out Firestones on one tractor, and still can't keep it on the road, either.
I have seen alot of bad comments on Goodyear on this board, but we have had way better results from them than from Firestone. Also very good results from Michelin.
