If you like to learn about farming different, take the Stockton exit and go north and visit that crazy old German a couple of miles up on the left.  I think you can tell from his crops he is different.  It's one of the best stops I've made in my life.  He can also get you to the Gleaner people in that area.

I can wonder off I-80 about anywhere along that route and get lost in agriculture.  There is so much to see and so much to learn from the people who make their living there.

I never met anyone I couldn't talk to if they felt the same.  I don't know about you but that is how it is for me.
