Subject: RE: oliver 2255

North Eastern Maryland
They all had v-8 Cats in them, the early one were 3150's and the later one's had the 3208's in them.
The 3208's could be turned up with a screw, single disk clutch was sometimes an issue. White 2-180's which also had a 3208 Cat had a two disk clutch. Some people will down the V-8 Cat, call them throw away engines etc. 3208 engines start quick in the cold weather and have always been reliable for me. The 2255's are built heavy with outboard planetary drives, cast front tub and front grill. I had one delivered in from Canada that weighed 18,000lb with cab and duals. Cool machines
