Not adjusting moisture to exactly 15.5% or figuring anything for time and facilities it cost you (3427/22772) 15.05 cents per bushel to dry your corn. So it cost you just about 1 cent per percentage point moisture.
If you had left the corn in field and waited to harvest at, 22% it would have cost something less, say 7 cents per bushel but you would have given up some premium for early corn.
How much premium would you have sacrificed?
What's the ratio between the extra cost and the extra profit?
