Nevada, Iowa | I owned an Apple III for awhile. I was the third owner and I think it was 10 years old when it came around to me. It did operate on ProDOS and I heard rumors that it was a $4000 dollar system when new, maybe someone could add light to that. The hard drive was called Profile. I had the same dual 5.25 drives that you mention and the green screen. It was my first endeavor into the computer world and was good experience. A program came with mine that was named "three easy pieces" and it was a word processing, database and speadsheet all in one, nice program and again good education. Went to a Mac classic after the III died, I am still a little partial to Apple. | |
