With a $9 put you have some protection although you are still risking a dollar down. One thing that I feel the market won't realize is that the sudden death may show up in the final yield numbers maybe shaving off a bushel or so from projections. Frost is still somewhat of a concern but it would probably take a hard freeze for the market to react. If $8 is your break even it sounds like $10 is profitable...
