SC Iowa
It's the tale of two markets right now...

old crop vs. new crop

and with the prospect for large new crop supplies at some point, the mid harvest basis bids are very soft right now

between the rain and modest temps, it is taking lots of time to get the new crop corn fit to harvest....same for beans

so, we seeing very strong basis levels for both corn and beans, but it is a "buy it today, and have it delivered by Friday" kind of market

3-6 inches across much of southern Iowa last night.....

we unloaded 20,000+ bushels of new crop corn yesterday......25+ moisture...TW about 55
