| NEILFarmer - 9/8/2014 21:29 Well before my time but grandfather and one of our landlords had very good luck with Massy combines, then we got the 7720 which was and still a fine combine (i've spent very little time in newer combines). They both are the most meticulous people you will ever meet in every way. Now my great uncle bought a brand new Massy that i remember very little, but i'm told that wouldn't run an entire day. I also know my great uncle didn't help with that. I've just learned agtalk isn't always right, a dependable combine is 75% operator, 25% combine, and i'm sure i'll get flamed for that one.
Actually, for the first few hundred hours anyway, those Mighty-Fines were some of the best combines in their day. Probably nobody could actually put a better sample in the tank. They were just godawful miserable to pull wrenches on when things started to wear. |
