Casey Iowa | I saw one of your earlier post of yours mentioning you only inherited an 80 and I estimated you must own 2,500-2,800 acres using your percentages. Good job, you made a good choice to buy what you have. Keep doing it! It's a lot easier to rent your ground out when you want to retire than it is to rent machinery out!! We do not have irrigation here and although I sometimes wish we did.....(the last 2 years were a horrible drought for us)....I am kinda glad we don't because it sounds like it takes a lot more man hours to run it. Do you put $500-1000 an acre worth of drainage tile in your fields? So how is that corn you r harvesting yielding? | |
