I'll answer since I kind of was the instigator of that thread getting off track.
The original "$156/acre" comment I took as that is the annual interest/dep/repairs to operate the line of equipment.
IMO, $156/acre should easily buy an entire line of equipment in one year if one can manage to farm without all of the latest & greatest green/red/blue paint.
And yes, our line of equipment could be bought with $156/acre x the acres we farm.
If you offered us that much for our equipment lineup I would be smiling ear to ear and as soon as you handed me the check I'd be headed to the bank.
