ncia | Ok 5, You might say that I'm a geezer, but.... if I can self finance at a budget of $500,000 (just and example) and some one whose budget is $5 million can't, why not?? How is that unrealistic?? Aren't the situations similar, just on a different scale. Actually , the costs per acre should be CHEAPER for the larger scale operations. Cheaper fuel, seed, chems, repairs, bigger more efficient equipment, more technology, etc. I've worked to operate out of my own pocket since I was 18. took some years, and 4 years of whorehouse profits, but I think it is more common than you think. I know guys that have 200-2000 acres paid for. they are not old small guys and they have the cushion of no rent. they should be able to operate out of their bank account. | |
