Lewisburg, PA | Thanks Rocky. My dad and I farm together . I lied I got 31. My smallest farm is a 3 acre , then a 5 acre, lot of 10-20 acre farms, I have ONE that is 120, my own farm is 95 , They are all in a ten mile area but one is little north now. Some might classify me as a BTO but I treat my neighbors as I would want to be treated. There was one outfit that came in two years ago knocking on doors trying to rent RED shale for 250 an acre. The original farmer at to spell out to the owner that even what it rains every week the farms are only will do 150 in your BEST year and 100 on average. LAst couple years we have put tile on rented farms, cleaned up fence rows, planted bigger sweet corn patchs, bought another ratatary mower to keep things mowed more often to show that we care about there farm. I know there are a lot of good guys on here I get it I DO but IF MY banker is making the CALL on RENT just blows my mind!!!!! That means something is WAY outa wack!!!! | |
