I like the cummins motor but I will gurantee you that if the duramax was running like it should he would have pulled as good or better than you did with the dodge and should have gotten as good or better mileage to boot. Like myself and others have said if it was that bad he had problems, maybe something as simple as a plugged fuel filter.
