WC MN | I'm not making fun, you are just unrealistic to the majority of farmers. It is irrelevant to my operation and to most because we have real costs. A lot of guys have a land cost of $235. Did you miss the thread last week where guys were talking of land taxes of $40 to getting upwards of $100 per acre? You obviously have no grain handling expenses either? Do you haul grain or turn on a fan or license a truck? Maybe you don't because if you are a one man band you can't farm too much, especially with corn that looks like the cobs you showed. Would take a long time to get anything done.
I would think with your costs you should have been making money hand over fist when prices were higher. Good for you, I wish I could farm corn for twice what it costs you.
Btw, you must have a tremendous tax liability every year, but if you are paying taxes it means you are making money. | |
