Unless your growing specialty crops, 100 acres is not a farm large enough to support oneself.
What's wrong with having more then avenue of income? I've always have had livestock, I realize you have several more crop options, but I think a big problem with farming is going to be lack of diversity. takes way too many acres of corn/soy to make a living at normal profit levels.
