Columbia Basin, Ephrata, WA | Geez, you guys sound as optimistic as everyone back in 2004 that questioned why I, with my new college degree, would squander it by going home to farm.
Sure, its hard to start with little and end up with a lot. That's why it takes decades, some luck, and some willingness to about kill yourself early on. Anyone that hasn't found themselves in tears at 2:30 am trying to fix something that needs to be in the field at 6:00 am just might not want it bad enough. Sure, sometimes there's some other help in a guy's back story, but I'm still willing to believe hard work, good planning, and compound interest can all go together to make it work eventually. I guess I still have some of that same optimism from 10 years ago. This would get really hard if that was all lost.
