Why is it so hard to believe that conservative guys farming thousands of good acres for 30 years have made a lot of money? Isn't that the whole point? Why are we farming if making money is as impossible as some folks make it sound?
because I know a lot of them and the stories are not as romantic as is being portrayed. Sure guys can make it but look back at the last 30 years and tell me about windfalls to me made up until 2007. It just doesn't work that way and it never will. The last 6 years should show you that. There was help somewhere in everyone's story mine included as well as yours. And everyone I know. Some is relation some is write downs in the 80's some was the stock market some was a side business but there is always something.
