I don't think anyone should feel bad if they cant completely finance there entire operation on cash. I don't know of any large farms around that don't need some type of finance whether it be deferred pay on seed or terms on fertilizer and chemicals. every operation is different in size and how much money it takes to go to the field. I know for us we don't have enough cash just laying around but don't think that makes us bad farmers because of it. if I had millions sitting in the bank I probably would not be out loading spuds on a nice sunday afternoon I would be on a boat somewhere. have a safe harvest
