I agree steel guitar. How do you build 11,000 acres all on your own? A 15,000 acre farm would be $9-$10 million in capital to put the crop in. Why the hell farm if you have that kind of cash laying around? I suppose they own a bunch of land too at $12,000 an acre. If that is the case farming in Iowa must be extremely easy.
Not to mention the income taxes paid in order to get to that cash position.
We are talking millions of dollars per year in income taxes. Like I said, I'm sure here is someone somewhere who is farming 10k acres can put it in with cash, but that individual is in the extreme minority, not the norm.
