I know of several 12-15k acre operations running on their own capital. Those operations are all 2 brothers and a father or 2 to 3 brothers. If u r the sole proprietary operator of 11k and have been building it all on your own then it is understandable to me that you would have an operating loan. Just keep chugging and you will get there too......80 bushel beans and 250 bushel corn in the delta this year oughta help a lot.

Are there a few out there that can? Sure. Several? I'm calling BS on that.
Why has Farm Credit been reporting record profits over the last few years? Why does my local bank still have an ag department?
If the "all cash" stories with land and equipment purchases and operating capital are correct, I wouldn't think ere would be any ag banks around, nonetheless prospering.
