Options though I do like.
Basically, Never sell a call, Never sell a put ( those are naked positions that are subject to margin calls )
Heck buy some cheap, out of the money calls too. There's some upside insurance for ya.
Your calls could expire worthless, same for the puts you buy.
Then your cash cattle are generally in the middle there, sooo should work fine.
