If the Jan crop report is the goal, would moving the corn to town and buying a Mar 3.80 call at 15ish not be a reasonable play? Likely will pick up some basis improvement to early Jan vs gut slot harvest but if you can pickup some early harvest premium you may be able to offset that part right up front. Seems a 30-50c cash inversion is in most mid west markets currently.
Will 2014 markets follow the 2009 markets?
