![](/profile/get-photo.asp?memberid=22482&type=profile&rnd=871) north-central Indiana west of Fulton | Garvo, we try to harvest all the grass we can, some as bales some with the chopper, but some areas you just can't get equipment around or it is buffer strips and crp and can't be harvested. Have always been happy with the Tye drill as it puts the seed between the double disk openers through a drop tube. The DD openers cut just enough to get the seed in some soil and the harrow smooths over it. I prefer no tillage but have been lightly disking to over come the straw chaff that the combine deposits behind and falls out of windrow. Some obviously may disagree !
