I have always taken the drop tubes from the drill out of the openers and let the seed scatter over the ground followed by a drag, never failed me but thought emergence was uneven. This year I spread alfalfa, OG and Timothy with an endgate seeder followed by a roller hoping to get a firmer seed bed, worked perfectly. The Brillion is always seen to be the gold standard for alfalfa seeding, but I have no personal experience.
