I agree Tara. For all of the talk of not planting corn there are not that many options for some people. Folks that have been doing a lot of corn on corn will likely go back to a 50/50 rotation. There will be acres go to wheat but that is a crapshoot too. The canning companies have all the acres they need and then some. As you pointed out cotton doesn't seem like a real appealing option for the guys in the south. I've heard a few guys talking about going all beans next year. Talk about screwing up your rotation. Beans on beans in 2015 and then beans on beans on beans on some acres in 2016. No thanks. Guys act like beans are going to stay above $10 if corn is $3 or lower. There will be fewer corn acres next year but not the dramatic drop that some are expecting.
