10 years ago the biggest crop in western canada was summerfallow and if prices are below the cost of production acres will be lost no question the prime producing land will mostly make money at even very depressed prices but the fringe land will come out of production or at least be farmed with minimal inputs which will affect yield cosiderably
$3 corn and prospective planted acres, the driver.
