Sodbustr - 9/5/2014 13:40 I have heard that the local Farm Credit is saying they will loan up to $200 an acre for rents, after that you have to use your own cash. I am not a customer, not sure I agree but I do see there point. At least they aren't dictating what rent you should pay, just that you need more skin in the game.




That's no different than what most banks have been doing on RE notes for farmland for several yrs already.

They'd loan x $'s/acre and you had to come up with the rest if you wanted to buy land.     Its been nearly 10 yrs since X/acre has been able to buy a good farm in this area.
