ND | One thing I noticed was the corn plant comes into the Calmer roll half way up-the fluted Deere is barely up & gets bulldozed ahead. Paid 1,100/row for Calmer Choppers a month ago-it chops the whole stalk into bits & the only thing lacking is the spinning lawn mower blade-its a chopping corn head less the lawn mower blades & your saving maybe 50,000 over a new chopping header. Most chopping corn heads require a newer combine than you want or can buy--so the Calmers give you a new reconditioned head & you can use your old combine. | |
