| Well I wouldn't want to be the first person to buy one. I remember the JD 100 baler, you cant find one for 400+ miles around here that I'm aware of. I would sure hated to been one of those guys that bought one, then they didn't work. I remember a guy that told me he had a lot of input on the design of the 100 baler, he tried to tell me what a great baler it was. Well all he ran was the Freeman big balers, I never saw one on his farm and he bled green. Kind of like the JD telahandlers, JD dropped them like a hot potato as well! Lets see how they last in the market, If I was going to go big balers I would have to go with Hesston/Massey baler tried and proven. Plus parts are available everywhere. This is coming from a guy that pulls a JD round baler. JD better put a lot of them out on demo for a year if they ever want to sell them.
Out of all my implements like manure spreaders, etc. JD company has been the worst for not keep parts available. Obsolete is a common term I hear on a lot of JD stuff I've owned over the years. I can't complain about the tractors 30 and 40 series. But some implements good luck on getting some parts, its to the fab. shop you go. | |
