East central nebraska
I am with you Redoak. Last year we had a young farmer raise our rent by $100. pr acre. We were giving a fair rent for $5 corn. Anyway, we didnot match the rent and subsequently lost the land. I advised my ex landlord to get a 2 yr written lease that was unbreakable, because there was a chance he made need it. My brother whom i farm with, posted about it July of '13 on Ag-talk. It made me angry to read some of the A##holes that responded to my brothers comment, one individual surmised that if you are that far outof the money you shouldnt be considered and you should be ashmed of yourself. But there were some really smart and insightful individuals that could see what was possible in agriculture for the upcoming year.
