The "Sprinter" does indeed get 25 MPG -- it is a Mercedes 2.7L diesel.

The rig I've always wanted to see for farm run-about isn't imported to the US: the Toyota Hi-Lux. It is a crew cab pickup (the size of the SR5 Toytota pickups), but with a really short bed in back.

In Oz, they have 'em with 2.4L diesel engines in them. They look incredibly useful and handy.
