After all, ADM and the other big buyers have terminals all over the country and billions at stake. Hard to imagine they do not already have better more accurate nation wide yield estimates than the average farmer. USDA and pro farmer with all of their flaws, may be the best least biased information available to the little guy concerning projected yields and crop sizes.
