In years to come, this shared/stolen data will be fine tuned to each field. Year over year change in yield, and eventually a very good handle on carryover. The end result will be fine tuned yield/total crop data. Crop tours and USDA yield estimates will be obsolete. This is not a good thing IMHO.

The more I think about it, The trade will consider any bushel carryover as excess. It will bring a whole new meaning to just in time delivery.
