My notes are in the car, but briefly: After a lunch break we heard a speaker on sustainability, which was interesting in a way but didn't really mesh with the general theme. Two professors spoke about data aggregation. Then a panel of four farmers related their experiences in implementing precision ag.
The recurring terms of the day were aggregation and the need for better analytics.
FWIW, there must have been around 300 in attendance, most of whom were not farmers but a Who's Who of hardware and software providers, academics, and (apparently) venture capatalists. A very interesting meeting...and I look forward to the next one. | |
