Subject: I prefer the Earth Metal blades as well.

West Union, Illinois

Like the Fla Veggie Farmer said

every off brand disc blade that we've ever tried comes back to haunt us. The only blade I'll run on any disc is Earth metals from CIH.

Sometimes it comes down to cost versus value.  The Earth Metal blades have a value that must be considered.

I suspect he and I are in a different situation than a lot of folks.  I run a lot in sandy ground that just wears steel at a scary rate.  Used to have a 13 shank Glencoe Soil Saver and would wear out a set of hard surfaced points in 80 acres.  So for me the fact the Earth Metal blades last longer is a big factor.
